The Damages In International Arbitration App is a web-app developed by the International Council for Commercial Arbitration a worldwide NGO promoting the use of arbitration and mediation in international legal disputes and the American Society of International Law. It provides a systemic analysis of procedural, legal and quantum/valuation issues for damages with checklists, in both civil and common law, with links to relevant precedents, treatises and articles. It provides a detailed template for damages issues both for counsel and for arbitrators.
The DIA is useful for arbitration counsel to consider, organise, prepare and present systematically the issues and evidence around damages in arbitration and for arbitrators in efficiently managing an arbitration to ensure that they secure evidence and briefing on all key issues.
